I am a coal miner. My dad was a coal miner. My grandfather was a coal miner....and so our heritage continues. The history of coal mining runs deep throughout the Appalachian Region, some could rightfully say as deep as the seams of coal themselves. "Fire In The Hole" is recognized by all who have worked so bravely mining the most abundant, nonrenewable fossil fuel in the United States--COAL.
As you may know, the Appalachian Coal Region produces more than one-third of all coal produced in the U.S. Coal is used to generate approximately one-half of all the electricity in the U.S. With these facts, it would be easy to say that coal mining has been and will continue to be a major part of our everyday life.
The "Fire In The Hole" Ride & Rally (No. 4) will be held September 1-5 2011, in the Moccasin Valley section of Lebanon, Virginia. The "Coal Miners Remembered" (CMR) ride is scheduled for Monday, September 5, 2011.
SpiritWheel Allegiance Inc. is a federal 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization established in 2008 to help disadvantages coal-mining families in the Appalachian Region. The fund-raising organization is a ministry of hope, compassion, and determination to provide financial assistance and emotional confront to those suffering from chronic and terminal illnesses, unexpected financial hardships, and spiritual healing.
SpiritWheel Allegiance Inc. organizes benefit motorcycle rides for individuals, weekend rallies for a specific cause, and continually develops educational materials concerning the history of coal-mining in our region. We have a nationwide membership roll that encourages spiritual growth and understanding through bible studies, fellowship, and compassion. the two requirements in becoming a member are to believe in God and help those truly in need. Membership is voluntary, without specific denominational influence, judgement, or persecution. Our spiritual worship facility is in the remodeling stages, but we continue to offer motorcycle enthusiasts an opportunity to fellowship together through weekly bible studies and "rolling wheels in action."
